In order to be considered for recertification points for viewing, adapting, and implementing this CAR lesson, the viewer needs to obtain approval in advance and submit documentation to his or her own school division. Consult the current Virginia Licensure Renewal Manual for guidelines. Documentation may consist of an agreed upon number of the following items:

the observation checklist completed while watching the CAR video; |
| |
|
| 2 |
a completed lesson plan form, including the self-evaluation of the lesson; |
| |
|
| 3 |
an observation checklist completed by a colleague who watched the lesson implementation; or |
| |
|
| 4 |
the certificate of completion signed by a supervisor or principal. |
