| Self evaluation |
The students read fairly well and their miscues did not bother them or interfere with comprehension. They did not catch the reference to bitter almonds, but many did know that Billy was dying and about to be stuffed. Most knew how sinister the landlady was by the end of the story but many thought there were supernatural forces at work. I need to continue helping them make inferences. |
